Food to avoid while having cough

Recently, my wife kept on having cough. I guess, it must be the weather. Anyway, here's a list of food that she needs to avoid:
  • Egg
  • Chicken
  • Orange
  • Grapes
  • Banana
  • Papaya
I think when you have cough, you need to avoid all citrus fruits and chicken. And of course, those cold, oily and chili food as well.

Autsim

The main reason why I'm writing this blog entry because I just knew a friend who has a kid with autism. Not only that, I also just read a news that an autistics just murdered his father. This really make me wonder one thing, how little support our society gives support to such kids when they were young.

This society of mine view everything that is not normal as abnormal. Main stream medicine will treat it as they are sick or as a disease. To me, this is really not true. When a child at birth, his or her brain is really pre-program with all the senses all wired-up. So a child is not born with autism. A child becomes autistics due to external factors such as vaccinations, although some said it is not proven yet. However, the statistics of kids having autism after taking their vaccines cannot be ignored. Between the moment the child was born until he or she reaches 4 to 5 years old, the brain is experiencing exponential growth. Autism is a symptoms whereby the brain is experiencing blockage and it is attempting to re-wire. Thus, it is critical that a child experience different methods of coaching to new senses so that the brain can start a new program. I will recommend these books for reading:
To enable the re-wiring of the brain, it requires a multiple approach to it. What this blog entry will do is to focus on the nutritional approach to autism. Having, it is important for the parent to focus in other areas as well such as activities and etc...

The nutritional requirements of an autistic child is to focus on protecting and developing the brain. What does it mean? Protecting the brain means to reduce the oxidative stress which the brain experience. Developing brain means giving enough nutrients for the brain to spawn new neuron networks. This is the re-wiring phase.

Vitamins and minerals required:

  • Calcium: Plays a critical role in normal brain function
  • Magnesium: One of the key minerals to maintain proper brain metabolism
  • COQ10: Improve cell energy producing factory
  • B Complex: Improves mood and blood circulation
  • Vitamin A, C and E: Anti-oxidant (Requires a high level for the body)
  • Fish Oil: Good for the brain

Other important requirements:
  • Eat raw as much as possible. That means eating a lot of salads, fruits and etc...
  • Eat organic. To prevents heavy metals, pesticides and etc... from entering the body.
  • Complex carbohydrate. Constant release of energy. A simple carbohydrate diet will cause the body blood sugar to spike, which will cause mood swing.

Staying Young

Recently, some of my friends were discussing how to stay young and look good. Some had even talk about what products to use to stay young. Actually after much thought, I want to take this opportunity to pen down my thoughts.

In my opinion, the 4 pillars of staying young wil be nutrition, positive mind, sleep and of course, products for the face. Staying young is all about inside out. If internally is not well taken care, it will show extenally. Not matter how much money we put on the face, it will not work.

So why do we age? It is simply because we did not replace what has been used up by the body. Isn't that simple? Yet many people just doesn't get it.

The 2 basic foundation that the body is made of are both protein and water. Without protein, nothing can be build. Without water, nothing can flow in the body. Yet, many of us did not take quality protein or drink clean water for the body. For example, deep fried meat is bad protein whereas steamed is good. Soft drink is bad whereas filtered water is good. Once we understand this basic principle, staying young becomes a norm actually. The body works based on the basis that resources will always be shifted to ensure the body stay alive. Give you more examples. If our blood is acidic, then we will lose calcium that leads to osteporisis. So the problem is acidic blood, not lack of calcium. If the body needs more vitamin C to fight oxidative stess, then vitamin C will be released into the bloodstream by breaking down the skin. That's how our skin becomes inelastic.

Kidney stones

About a month ago, I got a call from a friend. I think he was in the hospital. He sounded very worry and asked me what to take for Kidney stones?

I was wondering why he was asking me that? Thereafter I spoke to his wife and realized my friend was actually having kidney stones. The worst part is, this is second time having it. My first question to him was, "Did you drink enough water?" and his answer was no. This is a very typical scenario of someone suffering from kidney stones. Not only that, he drinks a lot of coffee. This will actually make the situation worse.

If you are someone who is always suffering from kidney stones, please positive changes to your lifestyle. Let's put it this way, if you have a cut on skin, it is actually fine because you can see it. What if it is inside your kidney? Is it fine?

Vitamin C cause death?

Taiwan, a woman suddenly died unexpectedly with signs of bleeding from her ears, nose, mounth & eyes. After a preliminary autopsy it was diagnosed death due to arsenic poisoning death. Where did the arsenic come from? The police launched an in-depth and extensive investigation. A medical school professor was invited to come to solve the case.

The professor carefully looked at the contents from the deceased's stomach, in less than half an hour, the mystery was solved. The professor said: 'The deceased did not commit suicide and neither was she murdered, she died of accidental death due to ignorance!'

Everyone was puzzled, why accidental death? The arsenic is of the U.S. military for carrying rice seedlings H Gao. The professor said: 'The arsenic is produced in the stomach of the deceased.' The deceased used to take 'Vitamin C' everyday, which in itself is not a problem. The problem
was that she ate a large portion of shrimp/prawn during dinner. Eating shrimp/prawn is not the problem that's why nothing happened to her family ever though they took the same shrimp/prawn. However at the same time the deceased also took 'vitamin C', that is where the problem is!

Researchers at the University of Chicago in the United States , found through experiments, food such as soft-shell shrimp/prawn contains a much higher concentration of - five potassium arsenic compounds.

Such fresh food by itself has no toxic effects on the human body! However, in taking 'vitamin C', due to the chemical reaction, the original non-toxic - five potassium arsenic (As anhydride, also known as arsenic oxide, the chemical formula for As205) changed to a three potassium toxic arsenic (ADB arsenic anhydride), also known as arsenic trioxide, a chemical formula (As203), which is commonly known as arsenic to the public!

Arsenic poisoning have magma role and can cause paralysis to the small blood vessels, "mercapto Jimei"??, inhibits the activity of the liver and fat necrosis change Hepatic Lobules Centre, heart, liver, kidney, intestine congestion, epithelial cell necrosis, telangiectasia. Therefore, a person who dies of arsenic poisoning will shows signs of bleeding from the ears,
nose, mouth & eyes.

Therefore; as a precautionary measure, DO NOT not take shrimp/prawn when taking 'vitamin C'.

Liver Cancer

Recently, I had been receiving sms about people having Liver Cancer. I'm not too sure why out of sudden I'm receiving such sms? However, I'm not surprised that Liver Cancer is on the rise. Why is that so?

Well, it is all about the amount of pollutants, allergens and toxins that we faced everyday. Here are some examples:
  • Our usual chinese breakfast such as fried bee hoon and with fried ingredients. Oil has been used again and again. Super-duper oily breakfast.
  • Of course, not too mention our fast food chain breakfast. Fast and good. Also fast path to heaven.
  • Our tendency to pack our food in plastic related material. You will never know what leaks into our food.
  • Breathing in pollutants from our road. I must say Singapore is not too bad already. Try some countries and you will know why.
  • Most food is either grown in a pesticide and artificial rich environment, or the meat we eat is manufactured in a very strict process way. You know what I mean.
This list can go on and on and on.

Now, for some reasons, if you really get Liver Cancer, what should be your next step? If you ask me to put everything in one sentence, then this is my answer to you.

Eat like a 6 month old baby. Yes. Eat like a 6 month old baby. Why is that so? Well, a 6 month old baby is the time they start to take solid food. But actually not really solid food. More like puree food. Why? This is because their digestive tract is not ready for real solid food. Furthermore, those food must be organic-based. Why? This is because their body is like a piece of white paper. Any food that contains additives, allergens and etc will cause rashes or reaction. This is due their body inability to remove toxin effectively.

And this is the same for any cancer patient. Not just Liver cancer patient. He or she must eat like a 6 month old baby. Lots of liquid diet. Some puree is ok. Basically, everything must be organic-based.

Now if we want to prevent, we should take some preventive measures:
  • Always take fibre before a meal. This is good practise. However, if we are taking some good oil stuffs, then we should give fibre a miss.
  • Always take a multi-vitamin.
  • Always take lots of Vitamin C.
  • Before sleep, take at least 2 tablets of Milk Thistle.
Lastly, ensure good bowel movement and exercise regularly.

Mouth Ulcer (Canker Sores)

I think Mouth ulcer is one of the most irritating problem that we can have on our body. Although it is not life threatening, yet it cause so much discomfort that it actually affects our daily life.

Mouth ulcer is a sign of serious nutritional deficiency due to either stress, lack of sleep or etc... However, if you keep on getting ulcers in your mouth area, this may indicate other serious problems such as immune related diseases (HIV), poor dental hygiene, allergic to certain food and etc...

From the Chinese medicine perspective, it is the lack of yin that causes this false yang to rise up and thus, it leads to ulcer in the mouth area. It is also an indication of Liver heatiness. This is a Chinese medicine term. If you don't understand, it's ok.

Here are the some recommendations. The dosage is taken according to after breakfast/Lunch/Dinner/Before Sleep:
  • Milk Thistle: 4/-/-/4
  • Bio-C: 4/4/4/4 (If you can, take 4 tablets 8 times a day instead of 4)
  • Double X: As per instructions
  • Garlic: 1/1/1/1
  • Multi-carotene: 3/3/3/3 until skin turn orange. Then stop.
Sleep early. Best to sleep before 11pm. It's fine to wake up early and sleep again. However, it is bad to sleep late.

Optional:
  • If you are under a lot of stress, add B-complex: 3/3/3/-
  • If pro-biotics such as Nutri-bifidus is available, take 1/1/1/-
Besides that, cut down or stop taking the following food:
  • Meat. It increases the acidity of the body.
  • Sugar rich food such as those desserts and sweets.

Chemo and Low white blood cells. How?

Today someone asked me about how to deal with low white blood cells because her friend is having chemo.

Before we discuss about this topics, let's have a basic understanding on how chemo work. Basically, chemotherapy is to kill cancer cells. It is pretty simple. What is not simple is chemotherapy also kill good cells in the body.

Usually chemo is targeted to kill rapidly dividing cells and this is a key characteristics of a tumor or cancer cells. This is why Cancer spread so fast in the body. At the same time, it also kills the rapidly dividing good cells such as your white blood cell, which has high turn over rate. And this is why, you heard a lot of time cancer patients die of infection, not cancer during chemotherapy.

And because of this reason, the cancer patient will receive his or her chemo in divided dose. You can't simply receive it in one shot because it will simply kill the body.

So, what must you do then? If you are going through the therapy?

I really can't tell you much seriously, but I do know that you must continue to put nutrients into your body. Many cancer patients lose their appetite during the therapy. Furthermore, their digestive system becomes weak too. This actually further weaken the body because the body is lacking of nutrients to nourish itself. What the body really need now is to have nutritious food input and yet, it can be digested easily. It is even better if it is pre-digested.

I will recommend that they go on a highly nutritious liquid diet such as LHF power breakfast. Take it not just for breakfast, but as a main meal for the entire day. I have made some minor changes to the original post.

  1. Soya milk, rice milk, millet powder or treated water. Basically any milk except animal milk.
  2. Fruits such as apples are good. Green or red is fine.
  3. Active 8 -your decide how much according to taste(try out yourself)
  4. 3 x B complex
  5. 2 x Calcium Magnesium
  6. 2 scoop of Protien powder
  7. 1/2 a packet of Positrim
  8. 1 x Daily or Double X
  9. 1 x Ginseng and gingko biloba
  10. 4 x Lecithin E
  11. A packet of Nutri bifidus
  12. 4 x Bio C.
Besides that, take Salmon Omega fish Oil. 1 capsule 3 times a day. Before sleep, 4 tablets of Milk Thistle.

Also, it will be good if the cancer patient can drink some nutritious soup. However, do remember to remove the top layer oil from the soup.

I got this from a friend and I must say, this thing will work. This is because you are eating fresh garlic and garlic, is well-known for its medicinal properties. Garlic is also called the cheaper version of Lingzhi, a well-known expensive Chinese herb for its healing properties.

Anyway, for those of you who can't read Chinese, I will translate this for you.

This is basically a garlic-based rice. Either you fried it or steam it.

In order for it to work, use as much finely chopped fresh garlic as possible. If you want to steam it, mix it together with your rice and put it in the rice cooker. If you want to fry it, use either extra light olive oil or extra virgin coconut oil. These are two best oils that you can use to combine it with Garlic.

For fried rice, do the following:
  • Warm your wok, pour a small amount of oil and put in the chopped garlic. Fried until fragrance.
  • Put in the rice with chopped garlic and fried it together. That's it. You have your garlic fried rice.
However, in order for this formula to work, you have to take note of the following:
  • Use only either brown rice or whole grain rice.
  • Use only fresh garlic.
  • If you want to put salt, use only sea salt. However, this is not recommended.
  • If you want to take this to reduce your blood pressure, steam version is the best.
Lastly, if you find this too much work, just take 2 garlic and licorice 3 times a day. Also, take it with Salmon Omega 3 fish oil. 1 or 2 capsules 3 times a day.

Remember, the reason why garlic rice work because garlic will thin your blood. So if you are on blood thinning medicine, you have to be careful. Check your blood pressure regularly.

High Blood Pressure(Hypertension) and High Cholesterol

Before we proceed to discuss both HBP and HC, we need to know one thing. If you have high cholesterol, over a long period of time, you may experience high blood pressure. If you have high blood pressure, most likely you have high cholesterol.

So why is this so? This is because high cholesterol is due to the accumulation of bad cholesterol in the body. When this bad cholesterol is used to repair the blood vessels, it will harden the wall and create inelastic blood vessels. The hardening of blood vessels will lead to high blood pressure. Not only that, your heart will be working extra hard and over a period of time, you may have an enlarge heart or, a over-worked heart. It will be just one fine day whereby, your heart will tell you, may I have a day rest. This is what you called Heart Attack.

Ultimately, both problem is a lifestyle challenge. A simple change in lifestyle such as diet, perspective of life, more exercise will eventually resolve the problem. Taking medicine does not resolve the root cause.

However, the good news is his mum has recovered well. According to him, the only thing that his mum took was just Double-X.

Morning sickness

Some people during pregnancy, morning sickness is common. Some said it is pure luck that some women doesn't get it.

As for me, I don't think this is luck. In fact, there is a strong link between morning sickness and the lack of vitmain B.

During my wife pregnancy, she took a lot of B-complex and thus, she did not experience any morning sickness. Her friends said she is lucky. You need a lot of hardwork to get luck and, she was hardworking enough to take the B-complex on a daily basis.

Do you have gallstone?

If you do, step 1 is to see a doctor. Step 2 is to see how serious the problem is? Step 3?

This the biggest question you have to ask yourself. Do you want to go through surgery to either remove your gallstone or gall bladder? Or, is to do a gallstone flush?

We must understand that these doctors are part specialist, not car specialist. Why not try asking them, let's say taking a particular screw out from a car. Is it ok? Most likely it should not cause much problem to the driving. However, how true is that? Nobody knows actually. How about taking one screw out from a plane?

The permanent solution to gallstone problem is not removing the gall bladder. Gall stone problem is a lifestyle problem. It is changing the lifestyle that will resolve the problem permantently. Too much food rich in bad cholesterol causes gallstone. A mulfunction liver will also create it too. When bile production is not enough, it will develop gallstone too.

So once we change our diet to take healthy food, I can guarantee you that this gall stone problem will not be there at all.

Please bear with me

Dear fellow readers and friends,

First and foremost, I will like to apologize for not updating this blog since last year. As some of you may aware, my wife was pregnant last year and our baby was delivered this year on the 4th of January 2009.

Since then, I had been very busy with my baby boy. From changing diaper to bathing him... It really sucks all my energy.

In times to come, you will see more entries on baby health.

Lastly, I will like to thank Jonatan Ramirez for sending the email to remind me how much you had missed my blog. Thank you so much. I will work harder in future to provide more informative entries for all Nutrilite users out there.
